Vegaupdate!

Okay, first I need to apologize for something! It is was jerky of me to say that the recipes I posted before only kinda looked good. They looked totally good, even before I tried them, so I just wanted to say that!

Now, you are probably wondering - how has it been Liz?! 

It has been going... well! Which I find extremely scary. When am I going to crash from this thing? I think there are a few reasons for this. The first is my husband and I eat out once or twice a week and, like I said in my first post, when I go to eat out I eat whatever I want (including meat, dairy and eggs).

Secondly, my diet hasn't changed much (except for eating way more desert... only for the sake of trying of recipes of course ^^). Erik and I used to eat vegetarian a lot, because biological meat is so expensive. When I cooked veggie food, I often cooked Thai, because it is delicious. There is no dairy in Thai food and while I used to use a lot of eggs, I have stopped doing that and replaced them with more v…

Going Vegan. Kinda. With recipes that look good. Kinda.

So, yesterday after running I went onto my FB feed and the first thing I see (and click) is this video:

So, granted the fact that I am always overly emotional after running added to my guttural reaction to this video. But, it is still horrible. Naturally, this lead me to say, but this doesn't happen in all countries right? Then I youtubed 'baby chicks grinder' and my world basically shattered.

Last year I started to buy biological meat after watching other horrible youtube videos ....I should really be banned from the site... Any way, I had decided I liked meat, but that I only wanted to eat it from animals that had a happy life before they died. Now, I realize that there is a lot of corruption in the biological meat industry, that what you might be getting isn't really biological, but it was my sincere belief that by creating demand for these types of products, that at one point it would create change.
